It was just her time to go!! |
August 29, 2008 |
WOW!! Words cannot describe the unbelievable feeling a death bestows upon us. My heart truly goes out the Otuwa family. I just learned of the tragedy a few hours ago and I had to step away from the computer. My heart melted. I did not know Gracie personally but I know Jan. When I say that is a man that truly loves this young lady, he LOVES Gracie!! I can only imagine the pain that he feels. I know what its like to loose a loved one, but when you are connected to a person on that level, its just overwhelming. To her parents, I am sure you very proud of your daughter! Such a pretty young lady she was!! She was a beautiful individual it seems, and I regret not having the oportunity to know her. May her beatuy live on in your hearts!! Heaven has taken in a brand new angel, what a wonderful thing to celebrate!!!
Grief is a process, time heals all wounds, TRUST in the GOOD LORD and you will make if through this!! The Lord knows best!!! He is always there!!
I will forever keep the Otuwa and Bennet families in my prayers!!
God Bless you all!!

It is with the deepest shock I just received this sad, sad news from Gracie's uncle in Las Vegas. The Nordee family wishes the Otuwas, friends and relatives of the families the deepest of sympathies. Be consoled and know that we share in your loss in this fleething life. May you all be consoled by the scripture at Rev. 21:3 and 4 that promises a future without such tragedy and death. You are all in our thougths and prayers and may Jehovah give you the strength to bear this loss. L. T. Nordee and family.

Rest In Peace Gracie! Forever Missed! |
August 21, 2008 |
To everyone that knew Gracie, you already know what type of silly, sweet, caring, crazy, fun-filled, exciting person she could be. I have been knowing Gracie for about 10 years. We went to Hueytown High School together. I kept in touch with her and Angel through facebook. I was in disbelief when I got the first report on what happened, because I had just got off facebook looking at her graduation pictures. It amazing and scary how one minute you can be here and the next minute you are gone. To the Otuwa family, my prayers are with you in you're time of need. To Otuwa, be strong! Everyone makes mistakes! I can't imagine what or how you feel, but keep God first and you will make it through anything.

My Bama Baby |
August 21, 2008 |
To Gracia's family,
I met Gracie years ago through my niece and nephew (Danielle & Agustin Paris) who attended the same college as Gracie in Alabama. She treated me like I was really her auntie, like the rest of my niece and nephew's friends there. My Bama Babies is what I called them.
I'm so thankful to have met them along with Gracie.
What a beautiful young lady inside and out!
Gracie had such a cheerful smile and outgoing personality that welcomed even me.
May God give you strength and be your strength in a time such as this!!
May thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!!
Love,
Auntie Wendy

I would like to express my condolences and would like for the family to know that you are in my prayers. Gracie was one of the nicest and most energetic people to be around at UWA. She once told me, "To Let go of my FEARS, and live life to the fullest" for that, thank you Gracie, it truly helped me to become the person that I am today......
