My heart goes out to The Otuwa family. Even though I never knew Grace Otuwa. I've heard about the accident on the news and in the community and I'm truly sorry. And I know Your in a better place now. May the Lord guide your family through this hard time. May your soul rest in peace.

Hello, my name is Crystal Vaughan-Trevor. Ms. Otuwa and family I would first like to express my condolences to you. I was so upset to hear about Gracie. If anyone knew her you would have known she had a bright future ahead of her. Ms. Otuwa I think you may remember me. Gracie and I went to Midfield High together and were very good friends. She was such a sweet person and had a wonderful personality. If you were having a bad day she could get you in a good mood. Gracie and I lost contact when one year after she went to West Alabama University and I moved back home to Maryland and got baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, she was really happy for me, she was always a good supportive friend. I will always remember these good things about her.

It's so hard for me to even imagine you not being here. Gracie, we had so much fun at the University of West Alabama. I will never forget your smile and just the way you made us all laugh. For God has promised never to leave us alone.So dear family& friends this also means that He will never forsake you.Keep your hand in God's hand .When we are weak He is strong.May this prayer comfort you:Make me be still O'Lord that in my silence might be your eloquence,in my closed lips Your testimony & from my desert Your well_spring; that in the place of my confusion may settle Your Peace, as gentle as snow falling from windless Heaven.

Eventhough there is reason for everything, your place was reserved.
The bell rang and you couldn't fight it.
The gates were open but you know your people weren't ready to let go
Your memories remain and you'll always be with them in spirit.

To the Otuwa family, hold fast to Psalm 121 and look to the hills from which cometh ALL of our help. I remember your darling angel from my nephew Damarius' & JaNell (Thomas) Studdard's wedding 11 months ago. Although, I didn't get to know her personally I recall the sweet spirit she personified. Passing on is a factor of life which we're all well aware that we must eventually encounter/undergo. Yet, not many of us are ever prepared to understand when it occurs. Cherish the memories of your beautiful daughter & stay with the Lord for ultimate consolation. It is my prayer that the Lord will strenghten, continue to bless & keep each of you. I met gracie in march of 2006 when my brother Jan introduced her to our family for the first time. She was so sweet and had a kind spirit.We just fell in love with her. Our relationship grew and she became my sister. I'm going to miss you and Jan coming to pick the kids up for the weekend pretending their yours so yall can tell them what to do besides your dog niche. Sorry for all the tubes of lip gloss bean wasted because you know she loved getting into your purse to put it on.

Words cannot comprehend, but for everyone who knows gracie will share the same view, "God took the best of our angles from earth to make preparation for thoes of us who are weak" . Sad to say we did not know that Gracie was one of Gods choosen angels. Our entrance into eternity will be so less painful all because of Gracie. Of course will cry and continue to praying. We all love her a Douglas, Pharamcy Dept will never be the same without her presence.

Gracie,
When I learned of your death, I had little trouble remebering you by name...but I googled you and the moment I saw you it all came back to me. I went to Midfield High and was 2 years ahead of you but remember that beautiful smile and beautiful spirit you had. I pray angel that you a safe and comfortable in you mansion that he promised us in his word. As I watched the video tribute that your family prepared I see what a beautiful woman you became and had such a bright future. But you know that say we have a jealous God and he was really missing you. So I would like to send my condolences to your family and pray their strength in the Lord. R.I.P you will be missed.
